Stephen Wozniak

Stephen Gary "Woz" Wozniak (born August 11, 1950) is an American computer engineer and programmer who founded Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. Wozniak helped create the Apple I and Apple II computers in the mid-1970s, which contributed significantly to the microcomputer revolution of that era.

Richard Stallman

Richard Matthew Stallman (born March 16, 1953), often shortened to rms, is an American software freedom activist and computer programmer. In September 1983, he launched the GNU Project to create a free Unix-like operating system, and he has been the project's lead architect and organizer. With the launch of the GNU Project, he initiated the free software movement; in October 1985 he founded the Free Software Foundation.

Stallman pioneered the concept of copyleft, and he is the main author of several copyleft licenses including the GNU General Public License, the most widely used free software license. Since the mid-1990s, Stallman has spent most of his time advocating for free software, as well as campaigning against software patents, digital rights management, and what he sees as excessive extension of copyright laws. Stallman has also developed a number of pieces of widely used software, including the original Emacs, the GNU Compiler Collection, the GNU Debugger, and various tools in the GNU coreutils. He co-founded the League for Programming Freedom in 1989.

Tsutomu Shimomura

Tsutomu Shimomura (下村努, Shimomura Tsutomu?, born October 23, 1964) is an American scientist and computer security expert based in the United States, who became an instant celebrity when he, together with computer journalist John Markoff, tracked down and helped the FBI arrest hacker Kevin Mitnick.

Takedown, his 1996 book on the subject, was later adapted for the screen in Takedown in 2000.

Dennis Moran

Dennis M. Moran (born 1982 in Massachusetts, United States), also known as Coolio, is an American computer hacker from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, who was accused in February 2000 of a series of denial-of-service attacks that shut down some of the most popular websites on the Internet. He was later arrested and pled guilty to defacing the websites of DARE and RSA Security, as well as unauthorized access of the U.S. Army and Air Force computer systems at four military bases.

Samy Kamkar

Samy Kamkar is a security researcher, possibly best known for creating the Evercookie and the MySpace worm Samy (XSS), as well as his discovery that the Apple iPhone, Google Android and Microsoft Windows Phone mobile devices transmit GPS and Wi-Fi information to their parent companies.

Kevin Mitnick

Kevin David Mitnick (born on August 6, 1963) is a computer security consultant, author, and hacker. In the late 20th century, he was convicted of various computer- and communications-related crimes. At the time of his arrest, he was the most-wanted computer criminal in the United States.

Gary McKinnon

Gary McKinnon, a Scottish systems administrator has been accused of the biggest military computer hacking exercise of all times by the US government. McKinnon is also accused of copying data, account files and passwords into his own computer. US authorities pegged the cost of tracking and rectifying the problems caused by his hacking at over $700,000.

Michel Amato, better known by the stage name The Hacker, is a French electroclash and techno producer who has worked extensively with Miss Kittin. His work has been influenced by Electro artists like Kraftwerk, New Wave artists such as The Cure and Depeche Mode, as well as the French rave scene of the early 1990s. His artist name comes from Jeff Mills' track with the same name.
